Lincoln Park Art Night

Thursday October 15th, 5:30 - 8:30 PM

Lincoln Park Art Night is an annual event that is a fun, relaxing way to visit with friends, enjoy a night out, and bring a cultural spin to your conversations. And, everything is free! Enjoy the hop-on/hop-off vans that will loop the different galleries throughout the night. Each venue will offer specials, food, beverage, music or artist lectures and tours.

Registration is appreciated but not required.

Mia Capodilupo draws on science fiction, disease, pandemics, and climate change to create an immersive installation using found and fabricated wood, ceramics, plastics, semiprecious stones, fabrics, plaster, and rubber. The installation spreads into every corner and crevice of the space, evoking an invasive and evolving ecosystem.

Yuliya Klochan’s Not a Patient Woman urgently presents viewers with stories of social justice and amplifies marginalized voices. Defiant and bold, the figures in these works represent the diverse experience of “other”, eliciting joy and portraying visceral pain. The show also thoughtfully plays with the meaning of being patient, referring to Klochan’s identity as a disabled person. She spent years striving to be a "good patient", but has since shed that goal and empowered herself to feel, be, and exist as she truly is.
